DEAR HELOISE: While serving a mission for my church in Bolivia, my purse was taken one evening in a restaurant. Since I rarely carried it, I didn’t have anything of value to a thief in it. DEAR REV. GRAHAM: Recently, I read an article in one of those supermarket tabloids that claimed the Bible is full of messages in secret code that can reveal the future to us. The examples given were very persuasive, but I couldn’t help but wonder why God did it this way. Is this story true? » Read story.
