Jury reduces charge to 2nd-degree murder after hearing different accounts

A Pulaski County jury Wednesday heard vastly different accounts of the slaying of Henry Onukwube: Prosecutors described the 24-year-old Onukwube’s death at Pettaway Park as the “execution” of a fleeing, unarmed man, while Naeem Hassan Rasul, 29, said he fired only in self-defense because he was facing an unrelenting tormentor who was the first to pull a weapon.
