ENTERTAINMENT NOTES: Hillcrest merchants get social; tours to hit Fort Smith

The Hillcrest Merchants Association will sponsor its second old-fashioned Independence Day Ice Cream Social, 6-7 :30 p.m. “or whenever the ice cream melts” Thursday, serving free ice cream, lemonade and cookies in the parking lot of the new U.S. Pizza Co. restaurant and corporate headquarters, Ash Street and Kavanaugh Boulevard, Little Rock.
